How to install the newest Android 5 1 1 for Sony XPERIA Z C6603 firmware 10 7 A 0 228

a) first of all, check your firmware version (if you already have the newest one, you do not need this tutorial)
b) download and install latest Flashtool from this Post

c) download also latest Android 5.1.1 (mirror Google Drive) for Sony XPERIA Z
d) paste the ftf file downloaded in step c) to folder „Firmware“ included in the XPERIA Flashtool 
e) open the XPERIA Flashtool, click on flash and choose downloaded firmware, than click ok. Important - if you do not want to delete any data of your phone, just uncheck flashing userdata.sin file. All data will remain in your phone, but sometimes it can cause additional troubles. So it is better (and I recommend that) to do the backup of your personal data, than proceed with clean instalation and then restore your personal data.
 
f) turn off your phone and when Flashtool shows pop up window, connect phone to PC with holding volume down button
g) after few minutes all is done and your phone gets the new firmware

Samsung ATIV Q A Hybrid Windows 8 And Android Convertible With A 13 3 Inch 3200×1800 Display

The notebook market is becoming a very blurred environment, with touchscreen options and detachable keyboards crossing over with the tablet market on a frequent basis. These tablet-notebook devices are often referred to as hybrids, but Samsung has come through with an alternative kind of concoction by announcing a convertible that can dual boot Windows 8 and Android 4.2.2. Moreover, the ATIV Q packs in a fantastically sharp 3200×1800 13.3-inch display, and with an S Pen Stylus also a part of a device just 0.55 inches thick, this might just be the all-in-one you’ve been holding out for.

Samsung is always seeking to forge new markets, as demonstrated with the Galaxy NX camera, which combines some features of your typical DSLR allied to the familiar Android interface. The ATIV Q arrives with a similar intention in mind; to allow consumers the best of both worlds in one nicely crafted device.

One of the immediately striking features of the ATIV Q is its 13.3-inch display packing in super high-resolution of 3200×1800. For pixel density, it’s up there with the sharpest of them, and whether you’re running the touch-ready Windows 8 or Jelly Bean 4.2.2, you’re unlikely to notice anything spoiling a very crisp, uber smooth experience.

As for weight, it’s only 2.84 lbs., and considering, as aforementioned, it’s only 0.55 inches thick, you don’t have to forgo sleekness for a solid performance.

Detailed technical specifications are, as yet, unknown, but one suspects there’ll be an Intel i5 processor therein, with the option of an upgradable i7 for those willing to pay, and it is of the Haswell variety. If you’re seriously considering the ATIV Q, we’ll be keeping a lookout for more information. The battery life is amazing, going all the way up to 9 hours on standard usage, something which is to be expected when running on Intel’s next-gen processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, micro HDMI and an SD card slot for good measure.

It would appear as though Windows 8 houses a virtual Android experience, with a specialized app pinned to the Start Screen.

The device itself also has a smart hinge which allows the screen to be angled any which way, and on the face of it, the Ativ Q looks a pretty solid overall notebook.

The specs, as well of the extent of this Android support, will indeed be key factors, but on first impressions, Samsung looks to have created something that is more than worth the consideration of consumers.

Today Xperia L got the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Update unexpectedly , and here is how to root Xperia L running the new Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Build Number 15.3.A.0.26. This works for both locked bootloader as well as unlocked bootloader devices.

This tutorial is for Xperia L Running Jelly Bean 4.2.2 with Build Number 15.3.A.0.26 .

So Lets Start :

1. First make sure you are running Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Build 15.3.A.0.26. Go to Settings > About to verify this.

2. Enable USB Debugging , Go to Settings > About phone and tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options, now Go to Settings > Developer options to enable Enable USB debugging mode.

3. Enable Unknown Sources. Go to Settings > Security and check Unknown sources.

4. Download vRoot from here - http://www.mgyun.com/vroot
Yeah it is in Chinese, so bear with it :P , download it and install this software just click next next like u install any other software :P

5. Open the vRoot and Connect your phone Xperia L to your PC , you will see a green Root icon in vRoot, click on that to start the rooting process. See the below screenshot.

6. When it is finished your phone will restart automatically and vRoot will show something like the below screenshot.

7. Congratulations your phone is now rooted :P. To verify see the Kinguser app , see the note below to replace it with SuperSU.

Note :- If you want to change the Kinguser (Chinese Superuser app) to SuperSU , Download this File - LINK. Extract it somewhere , and run runme_win.bat. Kinguser will change to SuperSU.

OR

If you want to change the Kinguser (Chinese Superuser app) to SuperSU , just download SuperSU from Playstore , open it , it will ask for Root Permissions , grant it , then follow the screen instructions to update the binary. Now open SuperSU , go to Settings and click on "Install SuperSU into /system" . Your phone will reboot and Kinguser will automatically get uninstalled :)

Note : This method works on both locked and unlocked bootloader devices!!!

• 1-To not to lose the warranty of your phone here is the first thing you need to do, which is to backup the original customization of your phone.

• 2-Now Download the Sony Update Service (SUS) and reinstall the firmware of your phone ( backup your data).

• 3-Now got SUS folder in the Program Filesdb*somenumber* lob_fs, now search for the files whose names are starting with FILE.

• 4-Now download and install the flashtool for windows (Download1, Download2, Download3, Download4), Linux( Download1, Download2), Mac (Download1, Download2).

• 5-Now copy the files whose name start with FILE, from blob_fs folder to folder „Firmware“ included in the XPERIA Flashtool.

• 6-Now Open Flashtool, Click Advanced, choose the decrypt files and choose all three files and put them on the right column.

• 7-Now click ok and then a popup will appear after some time via flashtool. 

• 8-Now click ok as you have placed the required files so now the flashtool will create the backup of your existing firmware so you can flash your phone now.

• 1-To Unlock Your Sony XPERIA ZL C6503,First download and install the flashtool for windows (Download1, Download2, Download3, Download4), Linux( Download1, Download2), Mac (Download1, Download2).

• 2-After installation start flashtool and click BLU button on the top.

• 3-Now turn off your phone and then a pop-up window will appear saying "Connect usb port with you PC and press the volume down button on your smartphone.

• 4-Now click on the button saying get unlock button, it will open the Sony mobile official website.

• 5-Now copy the IMEI code from flashtool into the Sony mobile website then it will send you a unlock code for your mobile phone via email.

• 6-Now copy the unlock code into flashtool and click unlock. 

• 7-Now connect your phone with your PC with holding the volume up button when shows a pop-up window.

• 8-Now wait for the unlock to finish.

• 1-First of all make sure which version you need to install and you know the version of your phone.

• 2-To flash new firmware on your Sony XPERIA ZL C6503,First download and install the flashtool for windows (Download1, Download2, Download3, Download4), Linux( Download1, Download2), Mac (Download1, Download2).

• 3-Now download the latest firmware which are mirrors from  Mega For Sony XPERIA ZL C6503.

• 4-Now click on the flash mode button and select the folder where you have download the .ftf file but before pressing the flash button make sure you have saved all of your required data separately.

• 5-Now turn your phone off and when the pop-up window appears press the volume down button and the flash of firmware will start.

2. Run Flashtool and Flash  XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.1.257_KernelOnly.ftf file. (Follow the onscreen instructions of Flashtool) If you have not used Flashtool before Refer this - LINK.

3. Now when the flashing is finished , reboot your Device and Connect Your Device to PC with USB Debugging Mode On , go to Settings > Developer Options to enable it.

4. CLOSE FLASHTOOL ( Do Not Skip This Step )

5. Extract the file DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip to root directory on C:

6. Now go to the Folder where you extracted DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip, and execute "runme_win.bat" (Windows Users).

Note :- This toolkit works on Windows , Linux as well as MAC , Linux users Run "runme_linux.sh" and MAC users Run "runme_mac.sh".

7. After rooting is completed the device will restart automatically.

8. Verify the Root By checking the SuperSU app in the AppDrawer.

9. Now Power Off your phone and connect in Flashmode with Volume Down (-) and open Flashtool again.

10. Now Flash XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.2.254_KernelOnly.ftf file.

11. Thats all now , after the Flashing is finished disconnect your phone and Power ON your phone and enjoy the Root on the latest firmware :)

4. Copy C690X_14.4.A.0.108_KernelOnly.ftf and  C690X_14.4.A.0.157_KernelOnly.ftf  to C:Flashtoolfirmwares

5. Run Flashtool and Flash C690X_14.4.A.0.108_KernelOnly.ftf ( See the screenshots below ) Press Volume down button and connect your phone to connect in Flash Mode.

6. Close Flashtool ( DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP ) 

7. Boot your device , and Connect Your Device to PC with USB Debugging Mode On , go to Settings > Developer Options to enable it. Also Enable Unknown Sources. Go to Settings > Security and check Unknown sources.

8. Extract rootkitXperia_20140719.zip and execute install.bat , the rooting process will start and your device will reboot ( For more instructions on this step refer this - http://www.waledacdroid.com/2014/11/how-to-root-sony-xperia-z1-c6902-c6903.html ) 

9. Now Power Off your phone and Flash the C690X_14.4.A.0.157_KernelOnly.ftf using Flashtool. Press Volume Down button and connect your phone to PC to connect in Flashmode.

10. Wait for flashing to finish , disconnect your phone from PC and boot your phone.

THATS IT YOUR PHONE IS NOW ROOTED.

How to Install JellyBean 6 2 A 1 100 on Sony Xperia P

Hello everyone , I saw a lot of people complaining that they are not getting the OTA updates / cannot update to JellyBean , so here I am posting a newbie friendly tutorial on getting JellyBean

Step 1 : First of all download this ftf File from here - DOWNLOAD LINK
                                                             
Step 2 : 

•  Download Flashtool from the official website - http://androxyde.github.io/
• Install it on your PC using onscreen instructions.It will create a folder "Flashtool" in your drive(CFlastool)
• Now go to CFlastooldriversflastool-drivers.exe and click on it and install it after marking/checking "xperia p,xperia u,xperia sola drivers" which is below there on the list
• Restart your PC

Note: Make sure you have USB debugging on. If not goto setting>developer options> and check USB debugging on

Step 3 : Now place the downloaded ftf file to C:/Flashtool/firmwares/

Step 4 : Now open Flashtool from the Start Menu

Step 5 : Now click on the FLASH icon of the flashtool which is on the left side of the iconic tab(below the file option-its like a lightning sign).a window will be opened Mode Selector. Check "FlashMode" and press "ok" button.

Step 6 : Now Select the Firware file which you had placed in C:/Flashtool/firmwares/ in Step 3

Step 7 : A Dialogue Box will appear just click on OK

 Step 8 : Now the flashtool will prepare files for flashing and then you will be prompted to connect phone in flashmode.

Step 9 : 

• Now Power Off your phone and wait for 5 Seconds, then Connect your phone to PC using USB cable while pressing volume down button (-) (Make sure you dont release Volume down button until flashtool starts flashing) 
• Flashtool will start flashing firmware it may take some time.
• After flashing flashtool will prompt you to disconnect you phone. Discconet it and power on your phone (It may take some time for the first boot).
• Enjoy the Official Jelly Bean

How to Root Sony Xperia Z1 running Android Lollipop 5 1 1 Build 14 6 A 1 236 C6902 C6903 C6906 C6943

Root Xperia Z1 running Android Lollipop 5.1.1

Here is the tutorial to root your Sony Xperia Z1 running Android Lollipop 5.1.1 Build 14.6.A.1.236

This tutorial is for Build 14.6.A.1.236 and all older versions, will work on all models of Xperia Z1 i.e C6902, C6903, C6909, C6943. ( This tutorial can be used to root older versions also. )

So Lets Start :
 
1. First make sure you are running Lollipop 5.1.1 Build 14.6.A.1.236 . Go to Settings > About to verify this. The below screenshot is of C6902 but the method will work on all models of Z1. ( Note : This method will work on all other older Android versions / builds also of Xperia Z1 like 14.6.A.1.216 or 14.6.A.0.368 )

2. Download KingRoot v4.81 and install it in your mobile - LINK 

3. Open the KingRoot app from your mobile , Click on "Start Root" , the Rooting Process will start. ( You need to be connected to internet via WiFi or Mobile data 

 

4. You will see a message saying "Successfully obtain root" when the process is finished.

THATS IT YOUR PHONE XPERIA Z1 IS NOW ROOTED.

To Replace KingUser with SuperUser follow the steps :

1. Download the file - Replace_Kinguser_with_SuperSU LINK
2. Extract the file and copy the mrw folder to the root of your internal storage.

3. Download Terminal Emulator for Android from PlayStore - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=en

4. Open the Terminal app in your mobile , enter the command " su " ( without quotes ) . Allow Root Access in your mobile.

5. Now run the command - " sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh " ( without quotes )

6. The SuperSu app will launch automatically (if u see any errors just ignore) , it will ask to update binary , click on CONTINUE , then Select NORMAL method. After the Binary is installed it will ask to reboot your device.

Note : This method works on both locked and unlocked bootloader devices!!!

How to Root Sony Xperia L C2104 C2105 Jelly Bean 4 1 2 Build 15 0 A 2 17 15 0 A 1 31 15 0 A 1 36

Root your Xperia L (C2104 / C2105) running Jelly Bean 4.1.2  Build 15.0.A.2.17 or 15.0.A.1.31 or 15.0.A.1.36 without Unlocking the Bootloader .Thanks to djrbliss for the exploit and [NUT] for the remount fix :)

To root the latest Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Build 15.3.A.0.26, READ THIS.

Lets Start :) 


1.  First of all make sure you are running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with Build Number 15.0.A.2.17 or 15.0.A.1.31 or 15.0.A.1.36. Go to Settings > About to verify this.

2. Download These two files and extract both the files.

• motochopper.zip 
• remountrebootfix.rar

3. Enable USB Debugging Mode from Settings > Developer Options.

4. Enable Unknown Sources from Settings > Security.

5. Connect your mobile to your PC , make sure you have ADB Drivers installed ( when you install Sony PC Companion and Connect your phone with USB Debugging Mode ON , ADB Drivers are automatically Installed).

6. Make sure no other ADB related program like Sony PC Companion or Flashtool is running now, exit them before proceeding to the next step.

7. Open the folder where you extracted motochopper.zip and Execute "run.bat".

8. Read and Follow the Onscreen instructions, at the end you will see something like the below image.

9. Now your Phone will reboot , after it restarts check you have SuperSU app in the App Drawer , if positive move on to the next step.

10. Now go the folder where you extracted remountrebootfix.rar and execute "supersu.bat", follow the onscreen instructions , Grant root access on your mobile when prompted , and wait for the script to finish execution.

11. Reboot the Device after the script has finished execution.

12. THATS ALL , NOW YOUR XPERIA L IS ROOTED :D
 

Note : This method works on both locked and unlocked bootloader devices!!!
